INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO MEDICALL 2023
The Final year students of Department of Biomedical Engineering has visited Medicall Expo – Chennai 2023 which has been held from 28th – 30th July, 2023 at Chennai Trade Centre, Chennai, India.
Medicall Expo – Chennai 2023 is the largest exhibition and trade show on healthcare and medical equipment. About 750 Indian and international hospital needs companies had showcased their products and services.
The students visted various latest equipment such as Hospital Equipment, Surgical Equipment, Rescue and Emergency Equipment, Facility Management & Support Services, Hospital Furniture, Diagnostic, Laboratory Equipment, Dental Equipment, Ophthalmology Equipment, Medical Disposables, Hospital design and construction, Hospital Staffing Service, IT provider for hospital, Communication Equipment, Medical Waste Management, Medical Textiles, Financial and Health Insurance Services, Office Automation, Equipments and Accreditation Agencies.
Students also got an opputunity to interact with the vendors for their placement in the companies. They also learnt about the companies expectation from the biomedical engineering students towards industry, which had help them to prepare for the placement and also to upgrade their skills.
Students participated in the seminars organized in the Medicall and got an idea for their final year projects.
Few companies approached for the Insititute – Industry interaction. Mrs.K.Shruthi, AP/BME was the faculty coordinator and Dr.G.Babu, HOD/BME was the convenor for this visit.
