About SAE collegiate club of EEC
SAE is the leader in connecting and educating mobility professionals to enable safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions. The SAE collegiate club of Easwari Engineering College is part of SAEINDIA Southern Section.
The objective of SAE EEC Collegiate club is to provide practical exposure to a professional engineering society as well as focal point for campus engineering programs and projects. SAE EEC Collegiate club offer student members organise programs and activities, fellowship, and leadership experience.
Formal inauguration ceremony for the Academic year 2022-2023
The Society of Automotive Engineers Collegiate Club hosted its official inauguration ceremony on the 27th of October, 2022, at the SRM Gallery Hall at 10:30 am till 12:30 pm.
Promotion of membership and SAE competitions
The Society of Automotive Engineers Collegiate Club had taken the initiative of spreading the importance of establishing a student chapter in our college to represent the SAE banner on the 18th of November, 2022 around 9:00 am, at the time when the college hosted its 1st year inauguration for the freshers, who are joining the college.
Guest lecture on artificial intelligence and machine learning
The Society of Automotive Engineers Collegiate Club hosted an offline guest lecture, based on the topic “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Bearings”, by Dr Piyush Shakya, Associate Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT-M Chennai on the 12th of December, 2022, at the TRP Auditorium, Easwari Engineering College.
SAE TIER –I Competitions
TIER – I (Intra College) competitions for the SAE members were conducted on 15 February 2023. Various competitions were conducted and the winners were recommended for TIER-II (Inter College) competitions.
Leadership Training for the office bearers
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) student chapter of Easwari Engineering College conducted a Leadership Training session for the office bearers on 24-03-2023. The training session was handled by Mr. M. Manoharan, former General Manager (Product Development Department), Ashok Leyland limited.
ADDC Workshop
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) – student chapter of Easwari Engineering College conducted a workshop for the Autonomous Drone Design Competition in association with SAEISS on 07-04-2023 and 08-04-2023.
SAE TIER –II Competitions
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) – student chapter of Easwari Engineering College conducted SAE Student convention Tier-II competitions (Chennai division) on 05-04-2023, in association with SAEISS.
Out of 20 competitions, 10 teams from Easwari Engineering College won First place and qualified for Tier-III competitions.
SAE Day
To celebrate the contributions of SAE office bearers and members during the year 2022 – 2023 and to distribute prizes for winners the SAE day was celebrated on 27th April 2023.
SAEISS Student Convention 2022-2023
The SAE India Southern section Student Convention 2022-23 was hosted by Easwari Engineering College on 18-06-2023. Around 250 students from Southern states – Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka participated in 20 events. The convention was inaugurated by Dr. R Rajendran, Professor and Head, Department of Automobile Engineering, SRMIST Kattankulathur, Chairman-SAEISS, Mr. Francis Augustine Joseph, Champion-SAEISS Student Convention and Dr. K Siva, Secretary SAEISS. Experts from various Automotive and core industries acted as juries for the competitions. The convention was successfully completed with a valedictory function presided by Mr. C.V. Raman, CTO Maruti Suzuki India Limited (President, SAEINDIA), Dr. G Nagarajan, HOD Mining Department, College of Engineering – Guindy (Sr. Vice President, SAEINDIA), Dr. V. Elango, Vice Principal, Easwari Engineering College and Dr. Antony Aroul Raj, Professor, Easwari Engineering College.
Autonomous Drone Development Competition 2024
“The SAE Collegiate club of Easwari engineering college organized a Workshop for “Autonomous Drone Development Competition 2024″ in association with SAE-INDIA SOUTHERN SECTION on 22-12-2023 & 23-12-2023. 100+ Students from various parts of Southern India participated in the workshop.”
