The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2003. The department offers B.E. Mechanical Engineering, M.E. Engineering Design., and Ph.D. degree programs. While keeping a strong foundation in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, the department has developed over time to keep up with the constantly evolving challenges in technology development.
B.E. Mechanical Engineering is a 4 years Undergraduate course. The department is ISO 9001:2008 certified and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for 3 years valid upto 2026.
M.E. Engineering Design is a cutting-edge 2 years course that combines creative mechanical elements and process design with problem-solving techniques.

Having finished my B.Tech IT from Easwari, I wanted to explore entrepreneurship as an option. In 2006 during the IT boom it was clear - to offer services which the tech companies would look for, after 15 Years with more than 115 clients across the globe, I'm happy to have taken this decision. I thank my faculty for what I am now.
It's always nostalgic if I think about Easwari engineering college. The best choice I have ever made in my life is joining in mechanical engineering department of Easwari engineering college. Those 4 years were phenomenal. The HOD, teaching and non teaching staffs were stupendous. I learnt the basics of Mechanical engineering in the best and most enjoyable day. I was placed in both software and core mechanical companies. As a fresher, what else I could ask for. I feel proud that I am a student of such an esteemed institution which focuses only on student’s career and well being.
Easwari Engineering College Mechanical Department has played a major role in transforming me professionally and personally. I got the opportunity to expand my knowledge in engineering through participating in various national events like SAE Baja, IIIE conference and other inter college technical events. They also encouraged me to actively involve in citizen consumer club, national entrepreneurship network and other cultural activities. This helped me explore my management skills and also made me understand the importance of giving back to society. I thank Easwari Engineering College and their Mechanical Department who have helped me achieve great heights in my master's degree and imparting knowledge which is helping me till this date in my professional career.
The staff I had got in my college time have sincerely helped me in shaping my career, their words have played a significant role and the independence they gave me in participating in events has helped me a lot for what I am now.
A four year long journey with a lot of exposure and excellent opportunities shaped me into a perfect engineering graduate. The quality of teaching at SRM Easwari is amazing. Lecturers and all members of staff are friendly, very approachable and open to questions and suggestions; willing to give up their time. Active involvement in both technical and non-technical clubs helped me develop work ethics, inculcating soft skills and making really great friends for lifetime which enriched my life on campus.
The four years at EEC have been full of learning opportunities and a memory to cherish for a lifetime. I had a wonderful opportunity to groom myself, thanks to the dynamic and distinguished faculties, who are enthusiastic, friendly and highly qualified. The Training & Placement cell made efforts ensuring maximum number of placed students. They started grooming us for placements with extra classes that provided us with a platform to enhance our skills and an opportunity to showcase them.
First I have to thank the teachers in Mechanical Engineering Department from Easwari Engineering College, their motivation and support is who I am right now. During my days in EEC I was an active participant in SAE , learning new things each day, learning to be responsible, and I even had an opportunity to present my paper in IEEE conference with my team which helped improve my Team work. Currently I am working as System Engineer ,I am building my own system (robots), still the Strength of Material etc are the things I use on regular basis. I am happy that I chose EEC.
My graduation in Easwari Engineering college is unforgettable experience in my life. It is good learning institution, extra-curricular platform and technical center where I excelled as a university rank holder, state NSS best volunteer. Mechanical engineering really provoked me to improve my talents and skills to do new innovative projects. I got placed in Simpson engines. It’s hard to believe that 11 years have passed since I graduated from Easwari! I started my B.E in Mechanical Engineering in 2008. Over the course of 4 years, EEC provided me with well qualified faculty, an excellent placement program, access to various resources/study material and most importantly, lots of good memories!
