LITERARY ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION & GUEST LECTURE
The inauguration of Literary Association for 2018 was held on 12th October 2018 at Hi Tech Hall I, TRP Auditorium at 2.30 PM. The Chief Guest was Dr.S.P.Dhanavel, Professor, Department of Humanities & Social Sciences, IIT Madras. The topic of the Guest Lecture was “Positive Communication Skills”. The welcome address was delivered by the Literary Association Coordinator, Ms.R.Kala, Asst. Prof.
I year students of 4 sections attended the inaugural function. It was presided over by the Principal. The Chief Guest spoke about the importance of good communication skills in the present scenario. He said that the students must take serious efforts to equip themselves suitably with appropriate vocabulary and English language. They should also inculcate reading habit and listen to English news regularly. Listening to programmes in English will help them to know and practice the use of English appropriately in the right context. A positive communication can be developed only if we have good inert-personal skills, he said.
The Association report was presented by Dr.E.Sugantha Ezhil Mary, Asso. Prof. Mr.V.Anand, Asst. Prof. proposed the vote of Thanks.
