The FDTP on Industry 5.0 and Smart Manufacturing, organized by the Department of Automobile Engineering from 27th May to 1st June 2024, successfully identified fundamental research needs in emerging Materials and Manufacturing Processes. Participants learned to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity by integrating advanced technologies, transitioning from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, and adopting automation, smart factory principles, and advanced robotics. This integration promotes a highly efficient and adaptable manufacturing environment, driving innovation and competitiveness. The program also covered various advanced manufacturing processes, equipping participants with knowledge of the latest trends and techniques.
