Report on SPANGLES 2019

The event started traditionally with prayer song and lighting of kuthuvilaku.  The honorable chief guest of the day, Mr.V.B.Venkateswaran, Vice Chairman, Nagman Calibration Services and guest of honor, Mr. Florent Charles Pereira, General Manager, Kalaignar TV Network inaugurated the symposium. The Chief guest released the souvenir and it was received by other dignitaries on the dias.

Dr. E. Kaliappan Prof & Head of the Electrical and Electronics department welcomed the gathering. Mrs.J.Lydia, symposium coordinator introduced the guest of honor, it was followed by his address, he emphasized on the importance of extracurricular activities along with the academics. Mrs. K.A. Indu Sailaja, symposium coordinator introduced the Chief Guest. Mr.V.B.Venkateswaran  briefly explained about significance of Electrical engineers and their role in calibration industry. Dr.K.Kathiravan, Principal shared wonderful words of encouragement and pinpointed the importance of EEE Department over the economy of our state and roles and responsibility of the students towards the betterment of economy of our country.

Students from 25 different colleges from all over the state participated in various technical and non-technical events conducted. Symposium witnessed enthusiastic participation of over 300 students who showcased their talents and abilities. Students eagerly registered for various events, to mention a few there were 35 teams for paper presentations, 113 students for e-connections, 100 students for Technical quiz and16 teams displayed their projects.

At the valedictory function, Head of the department and the symposium coordinators distributed cash prizes and certificates to the winners and to all the participants. The function was concluded with the vote of thanks by the symposium coordinator.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
