The inaugural function was conducted at TRP auditorium at 9 AM. The chief guest for the Inaugural function was Mrs Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, Product Evangelist, Zoho Corporation, Chennai. The PINNACLE 2K19 kick-started with a classical dance by Kavya Sree – 1st Year IT student which really enlightened the participants from various colleges. A Karnatic song was sung by Priyadharshini of 3rd Year IT. A well made promo video by the students was played which had all the participants’ attention. There were 800 participants who registered online for PINNACLE 2K19. The lighting of kuthu vilakku by the eminent personalities on the Dias with Chief Guest Mrs. Kuppulakashmi Krishnamoorthy, Principal Dr R S Kumar, Dr Ananthi – HOD/IT, Dr R Priyadharshini – Associate Professor – IT, Dr A K Mariappan – Professor/IT, Dr D Sivakumar – Professor/IT and Mr. Vijay – Student President of Pinnacle 2K19. The welcome address was delivered by Dr Ananthi – HOD/IT where she thanked the chief guest for readily accepting our invitation amidst her busy schedule. She welcomed our beloved Principal who is a real motivator of many such enlightening national level events with students’ participation. She thanked the Coordinator Dr R Priyadharshini, heads of various departments, president and office bearers from students, faculties who contributed to make this event a grand success.
The overview of Pinnacle 2K19 was given by Dr R Priyadharshini. The technical events comprised of Workshop on Data Science, Paper Presentation, Quiz, Web Designing, Coding, Hiring Event, Marketing and non-technical events Connexions, Debate, PUBG, FIFA, Futsal, Box Cricket.
The inaugural address was delivered by the Chief Guest Mrs Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy, product evangelist, Zoho Corporations. She thanked for been called in such an event where students are involved. She emphasized on the recent trends in software field and the need of the hour. She asked students to be more proactive in such events. She also motivated the students to have an inward insight to access where the students are. She also gave a presentation on Startups and had a discussion with enlightened students who were very keen on Startups.
The presidential address was delivered by our beloved Principal Dr R S Kumar. He welcomed and thanked the Chief Guest for readily accepting our invitation and it’s our pleasure to have such an eminent personality from software industry amidst us. He thanked HOD/IT and IT team for various events planned and executed at Easwari Engineering College and mentioned Pinnacle 2K19 as a masterpiece of excellence. He gave an insight into the current trends in this competitive world and projects play a major role. He very much appreciated for more than 2000 students of Easwari Engineering college been part of projects and 8 teams who have recently been shortlisted for AICTE Vishwakarma awards. Students who excelled in academics, sponsorship, editorial board, office bearers from Student Association of IT were all honoured with merit certificates.
After the inaugural session, there was a presentation given by the Chief Guest Mrs Kuppulakshmi Krishnamoorthy for the students who aspire to be future entrepreneurs. Then the students were well directed to their respective venues to take part in various events. The pre-lunch session had initial rounds for various events. Post lunch the final rounds were conducted.
