CONCRETE MIX PROPORTIONING

OVERVIEW:
Skill development workshop was organized for polytechnic students of various polytechnic colleges in an around Chennai.
INTRODUCTION:
The workshop started with he welcome address delivered by Dr. S. Lavanya Prabha, Head of the Department, EEC.
The Guests of the program was:
- Er. A.P Murugan,
Regional Head-Technical,
UltraTech cement Ltd.
- Mr. R. Vinoth Rajendran
Territory Technical Service Manager,
UltraTech cement Ltd.
They were felicitated with a memento from Head of the Department Dr. S. Lavanya Prabha, after the inauguration, the morning session started with Mr. Vinoth Rajendran lecturing the students on the topic concrete mix proportioning. The session contained more knowledge on mix proportioning, its properties and importance.
Afternoon session started with a hands-on training on mix proportioning, the students were able to see the mix proportioning in live. Campus tour was offered to the students, they were able to visit and see the skill center lab, Soil lab, Strength of Mechanics lab and all the equipment’s.
During the valedictory function, participants were offered with help in placement offers and higher education offers.
CONCLUSION: All the sessions were very useful for the participants and it will help them to develop their skills and to proceed the career in the right path.We thank our Respected Chairman, Co Chairman for giving us this opportunity. We thank our Chief Director, Director, Principal, Vice Principal (Admin) and Vice Principal (Academics) for their continuous support and motivation for Conducting this skill development workshop as a part of Brand Building Activities.
