“Installation of Off Grid Roof Top Solar PV systems” by EEE Department of Easwari Engineering College

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Easwari Engineering College has a Centre of Excellence on Renewable Energy research consisting of the Research Division, Technical Division and Training Division. The training division organizes several awareness programs, skill development training programs on the Renewable energy sources to make the students understand the concepts and carry out projects and research in this area. So far more than 450 students are given skill development training. On 28.8.19 a One Day Skill development training program on Installation of Off Grid Roof Top Solar PV systems was organized in the college campus. A total of 96 participants attended the Training programme. The Inauguration Program was conducted at 9.30 am after the registration process is completed. Dr.E.Kaliappan Prof. and HoD/EEE, and the Convener for the training programme welcomed the gathering and briefed about the Program. Er.P.S.Nandhitha, Assistant General Manager- PED, KSA Power Infra Pvt. Ltd inaugurated Training Program in the presence of Principal, Head of the Department, the Coordinator and the participants. The Chief Guest inaugurated the programme with a key note address on the Need for solar PV systems, basic skills required for installing the panels and the Future scope of this technology. The Principal Dr.R.S.Kumar delivered the presidential address and motivated to participants to attend such skill development program to improve their skills and do a lot of innovative projects for the society. The training coordinator Ms.B.Ponkarthika, introduced the Office bearers of CRER and Badges were distributed the members by the Chief guest. The program coordinator Mr.Vijeesh briefed the program schedule and the training session started at 10.00 am Dr.J.Gowri Shankar, Assoc. Professor and Mr.G.Vignesh, Assistant Professor of EEE gave practical training on the Installation of Solar PV systems to the students
