About the Visit:

The session bridged the gap between theoretical biomedical engineering concepts and real-time hospital equipment’s. Students gained clear knowledge of the medical equipment procurement cycle, including need assessment, specification preparation, vendor evaluation, tender processes, installation, and maintenance planning. The visit strengthened awareness about regulatory compliance, safety standards, calibration protocols, and quality assurance practices essential for patient safety. The expo improved students’ managerial perspective of lifecycle management, and resource optimization strategies. It also exposed them to practical challenges in hospital infrastructure planning and technology integration.
