Our industrial visit to Alibi Digital Cyber Forensics Technologies in Kolathur, along with students and faculty members, provided valuable insights into the field of digital forensics.
We learned about the process Alibi follows in handling cybercrime cases, which includes:
- Gathering digital evidence from devices such as computers, smartphones, and servers while ensuring data integrity.
- Analyzing the collected data using specialized software tools.
- Compiling findings into detailed reports for legal or internal investigations.
The team emphasized the importance of using various tools and methodologies to ensure that evidence is admissible in court.
Alibi fosters a collaborative and innovative work culture, working closely with clients to address security challenges and develop tailored solutions. The visit highlighted the real-world application of digital forensics and cybersecurity concepts, showcasing the complexity of the field. Additionally, we gained insights into the ethical and legal aspects of handling digital evidence to maintain its integrity.
