Summary of the Event:
The Department of Civil Engineering, Easwari Engineering College, organized the IGBC’s Certification Course on Green Built Environment on 24th & 25th September 2025 at Civil Gallery Hall 2. The session was conducted from 08:15 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. on both days.

The resource person, Ms. Sri Rekha, Senior Counsellor, IIC–IGBC, delivered an insightful and interactive certification training focused on the principles and practices of sustainable building design. The course covered key aspects of green building concepts, rating systems, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, indoor environmental quality, and the role of engineers in promoting eco-friendly built environments.

Students gained hands-on exposure to IGBC standards, assessment frameworks, and practical case studies. The session also highlighted emerging technologies and career opportunities in the green building sector. Participants actively engaged in discussions, activities, and assessments, leading to enhanced understanding of sustainable construction methodologies.

The event successfully equipped learners with foundational knowledge required for IGBC certification and strengthened their awareness of environmental responsibility in the construction industry.
