The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), Easwari Engineering College (Autonomous), Ramapuram, Chennai, organized a one-week National Faculty Development Program in online mode on “DefendX: The Future of Cybersecurity and Cloud Protection” from 15th June to 19th June 2026 (Five days).
The National Level Online Faculty Development Program “DEFENDX: The Future of Cyber Security and Cloud Protection” successfully brought together faculty members, research scholars, students, and industry professionals to explore the latest advancements shaping the cybersecurity landscape.
Over five enriching days, participants gained valuable insights from distinguished industry experts and practitioners on emerging technologies, advanced security tools, cloud protection strategies, artificial intelligence-driven defense mechanisms, and contemporary research trends in cybersecurity.
The FDP commenced with an insightful session by Mr. Naresh Kumar, Senior Manager – Project and Program Management, Larsen & Toubro Mindtree, who shared his expertise on Advanced Tools and Technologies in Cyber Security, highlighting modern security solutions and industry best practices.
Participants were then introduced to the latest Research Trends in Cybersecurity by Mr. Sriram Kesavan, Founder & Director of TG Cyberlabs, providing a comprehensive understanding of ongoing innovations and future research directions in the field.
The third session, delivered by Mr. Livingston Lee Sam, Cloud Architect – Azure Presales, SoftwareOne, focused on Advanced Security in Microsoft Azure Cloud, offering practical insights into cloud security frameworks, Azure security services, and secure cloud deployment strategies.
Adding further depth to the program, Mr. Nixon Ebenezar, Founder & Director of TechKnots, presented an engaging session on the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Cyber Security, demonstrating how AI is transforming threat detection, incident response, and proactive cyber defenses.
The FDP concluded with an impactful session by Mr. Rangarajan S, Senior Security Architect and Cyber Security Capability Manager, Cognizant, on Emerging Technology and Defending Modern Threat Landscapes in the Education Sector, emphasizing the importance of adaptive security strategies in an increasingly complex digital environment.
