Faculty Development Program on Recent Trends in Applied Physics
(July 25th to July 30th 2022)
Department of Physics, Easwari Engineering College has organized Six Days Online International Faculty Development Program on Recent Trends in Applied Physics from July 25th to July 30th 2022. The Chief Guest for the inaugural function of FDP held on July 25th 2022 was Dr. Anantha Raj Sengeni, Junior Researcher (Assistant Professor), Waseda Research Institute for Science and Engineering, Tokyo, Japan. Dr. S. Nirmala, Associate Professor & Head and Convener of the programme welcomed the gathering and gave an overview of Faculty Development Program. Principal, Easwari Engineering College has delivered the inaugural address. In her speech, Dr. Anantha Raj Sengeni has spoken about Water Splitting Electrochemistry.
There were 12 technical sessions for six days by Professors and Scientists from University of Science and Engineering, Taipei, Taiwan, ISRO, B S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, Vandalur, SSN Research Centre, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Arts and Science College, Mamallapuram, Semiconductor Manufacturing Cardiff, Wales, UK, Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Padur, Saveetha School of Engineering, Thandalam, Research Centre for X-ray Science, Tamkang University, Taiwan and Easwari Engineering College. The total number of participants for the FDP was 160. Lectures were delivered on various topics like Hybrid Sensor Materials, Green Synthesis of Silver Nano particles, Telemedicine, NLO and Ferroelectric Single Crystals, Nano Materials in Photovoltaic Devices, GaN a third generation semiconductor, Single Crystalline Metal-organic molecules as NLO materials, Bio derived Carbon Nano particles for Energy Storage, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy of Energy storage materials and Facilities Available in EEC under DST-FIST lab. All the participants got benefitted with the lectures and enriched their knowledge. It helped to understand the research finding in different fields and motivated the participants. The FDP was concluded with a valedictory session.
