“Entrepreneurship Development Conclave” was organized by Centre for Entrepreneurship Development at Easwari Engineering College for Engineering and Management students. The main objective of this function is to create awareness about the entrepreneurship and also to gain insights about the new business opportunity available for doing the Business in India. The function was presided over by Dr.R.S.Kumar, Principal of the college. In his presidential address, the Principal complimented the EEC- CED department for arranging a program of this type in the present scenario, to develop the entrepreneurial skill sets among the students. Principal in his address motivated the students to develop their startup ideas and get funding for their business during their final year of studies which is also possible in the autonomous curriculum and special courses for developing entrepreneurship will be added in the curriculum with a credit system. Earlier, the event was inaugurated with the lighting of kuthuvilakku and Invocation. The welcome address was given by Dr.SaiKumari.V, Prof & HOD-MBA and CED coordinator of the college. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr.Saravanan Thiyagarajan, Founder of Organic Sandhai and Mr.Ramkumar Co-founder of “Smile Settai”. The chief guests invited for the function shared their entrepreneurship journey and motivated the students to take up the role of Entrepreneur in the society and become a job creator. The following alumni Entrepreneurs from various branches were invited for the event Mr.Joesphpaul, founder & Chefpreneur-Master or tea (MBA), Mr Siddharthan, proprietor-Perinet constructions (Civil), Mr.Subhash, Managing Director-Quadios construction (Civil), Ms.Aysha, Smile planners event management (IT), Mr.Mohan Kumar, Ramdev Entreprises (CSE) and Mr.Gokulkrishna, Co-founder& Director-Venuza Enterprise Pvt Ltd (Mech), in their address they shared their ideas on entrepreneurship and Challenges faced as an Entrepreneurs. The department CED Cell Coordinator Mr.S.Purushothaman Assistant professor-MBA, read the report on ED Cell activities for the year 2019-2020. Followed by that the CED Magazine was released by the principal and chief guest of the event. The alumni entrepreneurs were felicitated by the Principal and chief guest of the programme with Momento and a plant sapling. The event came to an end with the recital of National Anthem.
