The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Student Soceity organized a Core Teaching on “Application of Biomaterials in Wound Management” between 02.00 to 03.00 pm at Hitech Hall—1, on 27.10.2022.
Dr. C. Sheela Sasikumar, Head Clinical Research & Product Development, Hycare Super Specialty Hospital, Chennai was the resource person of the program.
Dr. G. Babu, Head and Professor of Department of Biomedical Engineering, Convener of the programme had given welcome address.
The resource person started the session with the basics of Biomaterials and rendered about how the wounded skin regenerates with the help of emerging trends in biomaterials in an interactive manner. Madam shared the recent trends and her work in the wound healing with the AI based technology.
The vote of thanks was proposed by the Mrs. K. Shruthi, Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Coordinator of the programme. The overall session was interactive and informative.
